Prada Leary – Boomerang

As a former member of the music group Via Marz, musician, Prada Leary is ready to run solo. Calling him a rapper would be typical. Prada can be categorized as a virtuoso. His fuel for creativity stems from all sorts of music. Though he does rap, most of his work has an electronic feel with a light hip hop background. The Name Prada Leary comes from two different sets of egos: his old rap name “prodigy” shortened to Prada and Leary which comes from the most influential leader of the hippie movement, Timothy Leary.  Prada has two projects set to be released late spring.

Black Milk Live At SxSW 2011 [Video]

 

One thing for sure, SXSW music festival is the ultimate destination to experience the “best of the best” in the world of music.  Many of these artists have a huge following making SXSW the “perfect additive” to ignite an explosion in their careers.

On Friday, while roaming the streets of Austin, we were informed that Black Milk has an “unofficial showcase” at Suite 101.  Black Milk is one of the dopest emcees out there, cultivating the sound and movement of Detroit music.  He performed several selections from his 365 album such as “Black And Brown”, “Deadly Medley”, and “Welcome (Gotta Go)”.  Get Black Milk’s latest album 365 from iTunes or your local music retailer today!

Franchize The Legacy – “Star Academy” Mixtape

Franchize The Legacy is a 19-year-old rapper from Toronto, ON that intends to make some big noise in the near future. He recently released his debut mixtape entitled Star Academy. Although this is his debut mixtape, Franchize is no new comer to the rap game. He started rapping at the age of 10 and became heavily involved in talent shows and freestyle battles. As he grew older his buzz grew as well and he decided to take things to a studio. Through his dedication, business sense, and strong work ethics his first promotional music video “Ready To Roll” garnered over 20,000 views in its first week. We can’t wait to see what else this young go-getter has planned.
